【摘要】:-ThispartofISO/IEC9797specifiesthreeMACalgorithmsthatuseasecretkeyandahash-function(oritsround-function)withann-bitresulttocalculateanm-bitMAC.Thesemechanismscanbeusedasdataintegritymechanismstoverifythatdatahasnotbeenalteredinanunauthorizedmanner.Theycanalsobeusedasmessageauthenticationmechanismstoprovideassurancethatamessagehasbeenoriginatedbyanentityinpossessionofthesecretkey.Thestrengthofthedataintegrityandmessageauthenticationmechanismsisdependentontheentropyandsecrecyofthekey,onthelength(inbits)nofahash-codeproducedbythehash-function,onthestrengthofthehash-function,onthelength(inbits)moftheMAC,andonthespecificmechanism.ThethreemechanismsspecifiedinthispartofISO/IEC9797arebasedonthededicatedhash-functionsspecifiedinISO/IEC10118-3.ThefirstmechanismiscommonlyknownasMDx-MAC.Itcallsthehashfunctiononce,butitmakesasmallmodificationtotheround-functioninthehash-functionbyaddingakeytotheadditiveconstantsintheround-function.ThesecondmechanismiscommonlyknownasHMAC.Itcallsthehash-functiontwice.ThethirdmechanismisavariantofMDx-MACthattakesasinputonlyshortstrings(atmost256bits).Itoffershigherperformanceforapplicationsthatworkwithshortinputdatastringsonly.ThispartofISO/IEC9797canbeappliedtothesecurityservicesofanysecurityarchitecture,process,orapplication.NOTEAgeneralframeworkfortheprovisionofintegrityservicesisspecifiedinISO/IEC10181-6[5].
