【摘要】:IfASTMCommitteeE13hasnotspecifiedanappropriatetestprocedureforaspecifictypeofspectrophotometer,orifthesamplespecifiedbyaCommitteeE13procedureisincompatiblewiththeintendedspectrophotometeroperation,thenthisguidecanbeusedtodeveloppracticalperformancetests.4.1.1Forspectrophotometerswhichareequippedwithpermanentorsemi-permanentsamplingaccessories,thetestsamplespecifiedinaCommitteeE13practicemaynotbecompatiblewiththespectrophotometerconfiguration.Forexample,forFT-MIRinstrumentsequippedwithtransmittanceorIRSflowcells,testsbasedonpolystyrenefilmsareimpractical.Insuchcases,theseguidelinessuggestmeansbywhichtherecommendedtestprocedurescanbemodifiedsoastobeperformedonacompatibletestmaterial.4.1.2Forspectrophotometersusedinprocessmeasurements,thechoiceoftestmaterialsmaybelimitedduetoprocesscontaminationandsafetyconsiderations.Theseguidelinessuggestmeansofdevelopingperformancetestsbasedonmaterialswhicharecompatiblewiththeintendeduseofthespectrophotometer.Testsdevelopedusingtheseguidelinesareintendedtoallowtheusertocomparetheperformanceofaspectrophotometeronanygivendaywithpriorperformance.Thetestsareintendedtouncovermalfunctionsorotherchangesininstrumentoperation,buttheyarenotdesignedtodiagnoseorquantitativelyassessthemalfunctionorchange.Thetestsarenotintendedforthecomparisonofspectrophotometersofdifferentmanufacture.1.1Thisguidecoversbasicproceduresthatcanbeusedtodevelopspectrophotometerperformancetests.Theguideisintendedtobeapplicabletospectrophotometersoperatingintheultraviolet,visible,near-infraredandmid-infraredregions.1.2ThisguideisnotintendedasareplacementforspecificpracticessuchasPracticesE275,E925,E932,E958,E1421,orE1683thatexistformeasuringperformanceofspecifictypesofspectrophotometers.Instead,thisguideisintendedtoprovideguidelinesinhowsimilarpracticesshouldbedevelopedwhenspecificpracticesdonotexistforaparticularspectrophotometertype,orwhenspecificpracticesarenotapplicableduetosamplingorsafetyconcerns.Thisguidecanbeusedtodevelopperformancetestsforon-lineprocessspectrophotometers.1.3Thisguidedescribesunivariatelevelzeroandlevelonetests,andmultivariatelevelAandlevelBtestswhichcanbeimplementedtomeasurespectrophotometerperformance.Thesetestsaredesignedtobeusedasrapid,routinechecksofspectrophotometerperformance.Theyaredesignedtouncovermalfunctionsorotherchangesininstrumentoperation,butdonotspecificallydiagnoseorquantitativelyassessthemalfunctionorchange.Thetestsarenotintendedforthecomparisonofspectrophotometersofdifferentmanufacture.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:ThistestmethodmaybeusedfortheacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofGCLsbutcautionisadvisedsinceinformationaboutbetween-laboratoryprecisionisincomplete.Comparativetestsasdirectedin5.1.1maybeadvisable.5.1.1Incasesofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptanceofshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbias.Thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestsamplesthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandwhicharefromthelotofmaterialinquestion.SomemodificationofclampingtechniquesmaybenecessaryforagivenGCLdependinguponitsstructure.Specimenclampingmaybemodifiedasrequiredatthediscretionoftheindividuallaboratoryprovidingarepresentativetensilestrengthisobtained.Inanyevent,theproceduredescribedinSection10ofthistestmethodforobtainingtensilestrengthmustbemaintained.ThistestmethodisapplicablefortestingGCLsasreceived.Itisusedwithaconstantrateofextensiontypetensionapparatus.1.1ThetestmethodestablishestheproceduresforthemeasurementoftensilestrengthofGeosyntheticClayLiner(GCL).ThistestmethodisstrictlyanindextestmethodtobeusedtoverifythetensilestrengthofGCLs.Resultsfromthistestmethodshouldnotbeconsideredasanindicationofactualorlong-termperformanceofthegeosynthetic(s)infieldapplications.1.2ThevaluesinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Valuesinpoundunitsareinparenthesesforinformation.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
